Looking for a Britney Spears 1999 Rolling Stone magazine cover costume, clothes, or accessories? The cover is without a doubt her most iconic and controversial. While it might not seem as controversial now, when it came out it was all people talked about because when Britney did this photoshoot she was 17 years old. Britney has always been a pro at appearing as a sexy yet sweet girl next door and except for her Baby One More Time music video this was really her first venture into pushing the limits.
As a Britney Spears collector myself, I wanted it for years and finally bought one off of eBay and it is framed on my wall. Now I have collected products that are very similar in style to the clothes and accessories in the photo so you can recreate the iconic picture yourself. Britney Spears Pretty Girls Leopard Print Costume

Looking for Britney Spears Pretty Girls clothes? I have collected some items that will give you her leopard print look but feel free to do whatever you can to tweak what you have to make your look be like Britney's.

Suggestion: Although I have collected lookalikes, if you want to get an even closer Britney look, then please try to make your own jeans from scraps you have. Get a light pair and a dark pair of old jeans. Cut some patches from the darker pair and sew to the lighter pair like she has them. Rip and tear jeans in sections where you see Britney has hers.

Get nude body tights and cover with spray glitter, glitter glue, etc. Make sure you wear a nude bra and white underwear with some pretty silver jewelry. She is wearing bracelets, a necklace, and earrings. This could work for her nude costumes on stage as well.

HAIR

These light pink feather ponytail holders are sold in sets of two and would work for the pink pom poms that she wears to hold her braids up. To tie off the bottom of the braid use a hair colored or clear hair band and tie it off with a thin hot pink ribbon in a bow. You can get ribbon at almost any craft store.

CLOTHES

Wear a white button up underneath a grey cardigan sweater. Do not button the shirt or cardigan. Tie the bottom of the button up shirt so it shows your belly. Roll the sleeves up on the button up and sweater so that the button up shows a bit under the sweater. Keep the sweater open.

Wear a maroon bra or sports bra under the white button up. The color of this bra I featured is called Port Royale.

A black pleated type skirt is what you need for this costume.

Wear grey over-the-knee socks with black Mary-Jane shoes.
